Waterfront park in Bayonne with athletic fields, courts, and views across Newark Bay.

Bayonne, NJ

About Stephen R. Gregg Park

A Hudson County park in Bayonne spanning close to 100 acres on the east bank of Newark Bay. Active recreation areas for sports sit alongside quieter sections for relaxing among greenery. Visitors can walk or jog a half-mile waterside path, fish from a pier at 48th Street, and wander past a pond, cherry trees, and an ornamental garden. The park opened in 1916 under its original name and was later renamed to honor a Bayonne resident who received the Medal of Honor in World War II.
