This 1,212-acre state park sits on Upper New York Bay opposite Liberty Island and Ellis Island. You can walk or bike the Liberty Walkway promenade, visit Empty Sky, the state's September 11 memorial, and step inside the 1889 Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal, where ferries leave for both islands. Liberty Science Center is also in the park, and Communipaw Cove holds a salt marsh nature preserve.
