The Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center is a 308,000 square foot museum owned and operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation on its reservation near Foxwoods Resort Casino. It opened in 1998 and includes 85,000 square feet of permanent exhibits with life size dioramas, films and interactive programs, including a re-created 16th century Pequot village and a glacial crevasse walkthrough.
