The Pioneer Woman Mercantile

532 Kihekah Ave · Pawhuska, OK

Why you should go…

Food Network host Ree Drummond's store fills the 1910 Osage Mercantile Building in downtown Pawhuska, which her family bought in 2012 and opened to the public in late 2016. You browse a general store stocked with beaded bracelets, leather goods and apparel, then sit down in the restaurant or pick up something from the deli, bakery and coffee bar. Original brick walls and tin ceilings are still in place. The Mercantile also takes bookings for tours of The Lodge, where her show is filmed.

Good to know

General shopping guidance

Habits that pay off across this whole category, not rules for this one venue. Always check the official site for the specifics.

  • Vendor hours are their own thing

Market stalls and independent sellers keep shorter hours than the building around them, and quiet days end early.

  • Bring a tote and a little cash

Smaller sellers do not all take cards, and bags are rarely free.

  • Weekdays browse, weekends buzz

Pick the weekday for a proper look at the shelves and the weekend for the atmosphere.

  • Ask about shipping

If something will not survive the suitcase, plenty of sellers will send it home for you.
