The Weinberg Center for the Arts occupies the former Tivoli Theatre, a movie palace that opened in 1926 and was later donated to the city after flood damage in 1976. Owned by the City of Frederick and supported by a nonprofit foundation, the 1,143-seat venue hosts touring concerts, comedy, dance, film screenings and community events. It anchors downtown Frederick's arts and entertainment district.
