About Rocky Mountain Front
Choteau, the seat of Teton County, sits on the Rocky Mountain Front, where the Rockies rise sharply from the plains beside the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex. The town's tourism district promotes attractions such as the Egg Mountain dinosaur nesting site and the spring waterfowl migration through the area. The cluster also groups in Central Montana Tourism, a regional marketing office based near Great Falls, and Southwest Montana Tourism, based in Deer Lodge, each of which promotes a different part of the state.
