About Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts

The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, known until recently as the Arkansas Arts Center, opened in 1937 in an Art Deco building in Little Rock's MacArthur Park. A $142 million renovation by Studio Gang, finished in April 2023, added a long curving central hall and brought the old facade back as the main entrance. The collection focuses on drawings and contemporary craft, with works by Rembrandt, Picasso, Degas and a gallery of Paul Signac drawings and watercolors. Admission and parking are free, and there is a restaurant, Park Grill, on site.
