25 Roxbury St, Suite 202 · Keene, NH
Ashuelot Concerts was founded in 2016 by violinist Louisa Stonehill and pianist Nicholas Burns after they moved to Keene from London. The series presents leading chamber musicians in small venues around the Monadnock Region: the barn at Stonewall Farm in Keene, the Park Theatre in Jaffrey, Dublin School, the Bellows Falls Opera House in Vermont and the Montague Retreat Center in Massachusetts. Concerts run September to June with tickets listed from free to $50, and the organization also gives about 40 school performances a year. The Roxbury Street address is the office and box office, not a concert hall.
General theatre & events guidance
Habits that pay off across this whole category, not rules for this one venue. Always check the official site for the specifics.
Curtain time is firm
Latecomers are commonly held at the back until a scene break, so build in a buffer.
Study the seating chart
Price and sightline vary a lot within the same house. A few rows back can be the better seat.
Rush and lottery seats exist
Many venues release same-day tickets at a discount if you are flexible about where you sit.
Arrive with time to spare
Parking, bag check, and finding your row all take longer than you think on a full house.
