About Rhododendron State Park

New Hampshire's only botanical state park protects a 16-acre grove of native Rhododendron maximum, the largest in northern New England and a National Natural Landmark since 1982. A 0.6-mile accessible trail circles the grove, where the shrubs grow tall enough to arch over the path, and the pink blooms open in mid-July. A wildflower trail runs through the woods nearby, and a one-mile trail climbs Little Monadnock Mountain to a view of Mount Monadnock. Entry is $4 for adults and $2 for children 6 to 11.
