About Bob Jones University Museum and Gallery

The institution, also called M&G, was founded in 1951 and focuses on religious art, especially European Old Master paintings. Its holdings also include smaller groups of sculpture, furniture, architectural pieces, textiles, Greek and Russian icons, and ancient artifacts. Its home site is on the university grounds in Greenville. Planned relocation to downtown Greenville was announced in 2017, and according to later information the museum remains closed for renovations while it looks for another location. The website lists a closure notice, so visitors should check it before planning a trip.
