Caesars Head State Park sits on the Blue Ridge Escarpment, where a granitic gneiss outcrop at 3,208 feet gives views reaching into North Carolina and Georgia. More than 60 miles of trails start here, including the four-mile round trip to an overlook of Raven Cliff Falls, a 420-foot waterfall. Each fall, thousands of migrating hawks pass over the park during the Hawk Watch program. Parking is first come, first served and often fills on October and November weekends.
