Calumet Park is a 198-acre lakefront park on Chicago's East Side, with about 0.9 miles of Lake Michigan shore from 95th to 102nd Street, right up to the Indiana line. It opened in 1905, and its 1924 fieldhouse is a Chicago Landmark; the whole park is on the National Register of Historic Places. Calumet Beach has restrooms, food concessions and an accessible beach walk, and there are boat launches, a picnic grove and a dog-friendly area. The park is also a trailhead for the Marquette Greenway, a trail planned to run about 60 miles around the lake to New Buffalo, Michigan.
