Why you should go…

The Cascade Loop is a 440-mile National Scenic Byway that circles the North Cascades, stringing together the Stevens Pass Greenway, the North Cascades Highway and the Whidbey Scenic Isle Way. The nonprofit Cascade Loop Association, formed in 1978 and headquartered in Wenatchee, promotes the route and publishes a free travel guide covering towns such as Leavenworth, Chelan, Winthrop and Whidbey Island. The drive passes Puget Sound shoreline, mountain passes, orchards, vineyards and farmland on its way across the state.
