About Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park

This regional park sits on the Anoka County side of the Mississippi River at the Coon Rapids Dam. Visitors can use biking and walking trails, a fishing pier, a boat launch, playgrounds, and several picnic pavilions. The visitor center offers snowshoe rentals and a junior ranger program, and the park hosts controlled archery deer hunts. Summer Thursday concerts take place at pavilion 3. Anoka County manages the parkland and buildings, while Three Rivers Park District operates the dam structure itself.
