About East Potomac Park

East Potomac Park covers 330 acres on a man-made island between the Washington Channel and the Potomac River, just southeast of the Jefferson Memorial. Ohio Drive loops around its edge to Hains Point, the southern tip where the Potomac and Anacostia rivers meet, and cherry trees line both sides of the road. Cyclists, runners and walkers use the flat loop, and you can fish from the banks with a DC fishing license. Hains Point has about 520 free parking spaces, and there is no fee to enter.
