Emily Dickinson Museum

The museum comprises two adjoining historic houses in Amherst, Massachusetts: the Homestead, where Emily Dickinson was born and lived most of her life, and the Evergreens, home of her brother Austin's family. The two houses merged into one museum in 2003 under the ownership of Amherst College. Guided tours cover the poet's life, family, and creative work, and the museum is open to visitors from March through December.
