About Georgia Museum of Agriculture & Historic Village

Run by Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, this museum in south Georgia recreates the farming and community traditions of the 19th-century South. Its Historic Village includes reconstructed shops, workshops, and homes, and the grounds are organized into several areas, including a traditional farmstead from the 1870s and a progressive farmstead from the 1890s. Visitors can also see the Ford B. Spinks Exhibit Hall, which covers Georgia's farm commodities and honors inventors, a rotating art gallery, and the Langdale Nature Center with live animal tanks. A steam train with a 1917 locomotive runs on Saturdays when the museum is open, and the Country Store sells local goods. Tickets are sold at the Country Store and cover all sites on the property.
