Douglas, GA
The museum occupies the former instructors' barracks at a Douglas, Georgia airfield where civilian-run primary flight training was held during the early 1940s. Exhibits cover the training program, its aircraft and equipment, and other events of the Second World War. The base is considered one of the most complete surviving examples of the civilian primary training centers, with many buildings, the field, and hangars still standing. The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a partner in the Georgia World War II Heritage Trail.
