About Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery

Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery opened in 1999 as New York's sixth national cemetery and covers 351 acres, within a mile of Saratoga National Historical Park's battlefield. The ship's bell of the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga stands here, along with a Saratoga County memorial listing about 980 names and a memorial walkway. It was renamed in 2002 for Congressman Gerald Solomon, who pushed to create the cemetery and is buried here. A kiosk on site helps you find a particular grave.
