About Glencairn Museum

Glencairn was once the family home of the Pitcairns for more than four decades and now serves as a museum. Its holdings span roughly 8,000 artworks, with a focus on religious themes and works from ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, and medieval Europe, along with Islamic, Asian, and Native American pieces. Visitors can explore rotating exhibitions such as The Sacred Art of Ethiopia, take a guided holiday tour of the castle, and attend family events and workshops. The museum is affiliated with The New Church and the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
