Carrabelle, FL
Island View Park sits east of Carrabelle on the Florida Panhandle, on the shore of St. George Sound. Visitors can launch kayaks, fish from one of two piers, walk the boardwalks to look for shorebirds, and relax on benches or porch-style swings. The park is a popular spot for watching the sky change at dawn and dusk. It was badly damaged by Hurricane Michael in 2018 and stayed closed for several years before reopening in December 2022. The park has no restroom buildings, but a portable toilet is available on site.
