About Apalachee Regional Park

This county park in Tallahassee centers on a trail designed for cross country competition, a rare kind of venue in the United States. The course offers many distance and surface choices across hills, lowlands, and pine woods, and it hosts both small and large running events. When no race is scheduled, the public may hike, run, and bike on it. The park also contains four grass multi-purpose fields, two with lighting, that serve football, soccer, and lacrosse. A newer dog park with an agility course opened in 2025. A large parking lot handles heavy event traffic, and a remote control airplane and helicopter airfield operates on site.
