This Vermont state park covers about 264 acres on the Lake Champlain shoreline, and much of that land is kept in a natural state. Visitors can spread out for picnics on open lawns, follow shoreline trails, swim, fish, and launch or rent a canoe or kayak to paddle the sheltered bay. The grounds include a historic 1790 house that once served as a girls camp, and the park's banquet hall, theater building, and Hawley House can be rented for family reunions, weddings, and company gatherings. Pets are allowed on the trails only and must stay leashed.
