Mount Philo State Park sits on a 968-foot summit above the Champlain Valley. Visitors can drive a summit access road or hike a short trail to the top. The park offers wide views toward Lake Champlain and New York's Adirondack peaks, and it is popular for picnicking, hiking, and watching birds during autumn migration. A small campground with tent sites and lean-tos lies on the north side, and a rustic 1930s lodge can be rented for groups.
