It is the only zoo in the state accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, an accreditation it has held for 25 years according to its own news page. Visitors can see attractions such as a penguin area, a cheetah outpost, a reptile and tropical bird house, and a train ride. The zoo is open daily, rain or shine, with a last admission time in the afternoon.
