Molly Stark State Park sits beside Route 9 in southern Vermont, a scenic east-west road linking Brattleboro, Wilmington and Bennington. It is named for Molly Stark, wife of Revolutionary War general John Stark. Visitors can camp in tent, RV or lean-to sites, hike a loop trail to the steel fire tower on Mount Olga, picnic, and play volleyball or horseshoes. The park's history includes Civilian Conservation Corps work in the 1930s and land gifts that formed the park in 1939.
