About Natural Bridge State Park

Natural Bridge State Park is home to the only natural white marble arch in North America. The marble is about 550 million years old, and glacial meltwater carved the arch over 13,000 years ago. Today the bridge spans Hudson Brook in a 60-foot gorge, and a walk takes you above and through the quarter-mile chasm. You can also see an abandoned marble quarry, worked from 1810 to 1947, and a dam built of white marble. The park is seasonal, so check the dates before you drive up.
