About National Museum of American Jewish Military History

The museum, founded in 1958, aims to preserve the record of Jewish Americans who helped defend the United States and to teach visitors about their service. It operates under the Jewish War Veterans organization and sits in the Dupont Circle area, in the same building as the group's national headquarters. Its exhibits cover Jewish service from wartime eras such as World War I, the Vietnam period, and the Gulf War, along with a hall devoted to Jewish Medal of Honor recipients and stories of women who served. Visitors can also attend lectures, webinars, and veteran-focused events run through the museum.
