About National Museum of the United States Army

The Army's own national museum opened on Veterans Day 2020 on an 84-acre site at Fort Belvoir, south of Washington. The main building, about 185,000 square feet, walks through Army history in galleries from Founding the Nation to Cold War and Changing World, plus Soldiers' Stories and a Medal of Honor Experience. Admission and parking are free; reserving timed tickets online is encouraged, though walk-ups are taken. Some GPS units do not recognize the address, so follow the museum's directions from I-95 exit 166A.
