About Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center
This museum opened in 2018 on the first floor of an 1863 U.S. customhouse, now part of the city's Amtrak station complex. Exhibits tell how freedom seekers crossed the Niagara River to Canada, with recreations of the Cataract House hotel, whose Black waiters helped people escape, and of the suspension bridge Harriet Tubman crossed. Adult admission is $15. Guided Freedom Conversation tours start at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., and limited free parking is shared with the station.
