The main spring here pushes out about 14 million gallons of clear water a day and holds at 68 degrees Fahrenheit all year, which makes it a popular summer swimming hole in the Florida Panhandle. Two self-guided nature trails loop through hardwood forest, and rangers lead walks in season. There are grills, pavilions and fishing for bass and catfish. Entry is $4 per vehicle; on busy summer days the park often fills and closes to new arrivals for a while, so come early.
