Walk through restored tallgrass prairie, visit a 1920s working farm and swim in the summer water park where the Tippecanoe meets the Wabash.

Indiana's newest state park sits where the Tippecanoe River meets the Wabash, near the site of the Shawnee village Tecumseh and his brother founded in 1808. You can stroll 900 acres of restored prairie, see 1920s farm life at the Farm at Prophetstown, and hike trails through fens and floodplain forest. The summer aquatic center has a 30-foot tube slide and a lazy river for $5 a person. Gate entry is $8 per car with Indiana plates and $16 for out-of-state cars. Use Exit 178 and S.R. 43, since map apps often send you the wrong way.
