About Turkey Run State Park

Turkey Run State Park sits in west-central Indiana along State Road 47, southwest of Crawfordsville. Visitors can hike through deep sandstone ravines, walk among older forest stands, and take in scenic views along Sugar Creek. The park has eleven numbered hiking trails that range from easy to very rugged, some with ladders and stream-bed footing. The Colonel Richard Lieber Cabin honors the figure often called the father of Indiana's state park system. Facilities include camping, an inn with an indoor pool, a saddle barn offering escorted rides, picnic shelters, and a nature center with a planetarium.
