Pymatuning State Park covers 3,512 acres on the Ohio side of the 14,000-acre Pymatuning reservoir, formed by a 1933 dam and shared with Pennsylvania. The lake is known for walleye, along with crappie, bass and big bluegill, and boats are limited to 20 horsepower; either an Ohio or Pennsylvania license covers boat fishing. There are three swimming beaches, including a 500-foot main beach by the causeway, plus a campground, cabins and short trails where bald eagles nest. Across the line in Pennsylvania, the Linesville Spillway is where ducks walk on the backs of crowded fish.
