Skagit Valley Food Co-op is a member owned natural foods grocer founded in 1973 at 202 South 1st Street in downtown Mount Vernon, open to shoppers whether or not they join. It offers a full service deli, a second floor department of gifts and home goods, and gluten free and vegetarian options, and its produce department was the first in Skagit County to be Certified Organic. The co-op also runs member specials and free food and health workshops.
