Two Lights State Park covers 41 acres of rocky headland in Cape Elizabeth and was once part of a World War II military reservation; an old battery bunker and fire control tower still stand. Picnic tables face the Gulf of Maine and the open Atlantic, and shoreline paths look out on ships entering Portland Harbor. The twin 1828 lighthouses that gave the park its name sit just outside it and are not open to visitors. Stay at least 20 feet back from the surf on the rocks.
