Winedale holds ten buildings from the 1800s, along with period furniture, everyday objects, and a notable group of handmade Texas decorative arts. Houston philanthropist Ima Hogg assembled the collection, and the university received it as a gift in 1967. The 225-acre property sits in northern Fayette County and hosts partner projects with a master naturalist group and a Texas A&M AgriLife program. The site runs educational programs throughout the year, plus exhibitions, public festivals, and summer theater performances.
