About
The Brazos Trail Region is one of the Texas Historical Commission's ten heritage-tourism regions, an 18-county stretch of central Texas that takes in Giddings, Waco, Fort Hood, Hearne, and College Station. College Station and neighboring Bryan are home to Texas A&M University and the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum. Hearne holds Camp Hearne, a restored World War II prisoner-of-war camp, while the National Mounted Warrior Museum sits just outside Fort Hood. Waco's Cameron Park Zoo rounds out the cluster to the northwest.
