About
The Elk Mountains are a range in central Colorado's Pitkin, Garfield, and Gunnison counties, ringed by the towns of Aspen, Glenwood Springs, and Crested Butte. Glenwood Springs sits at the confluence of the Colorado and Roaring Fork rivers and is home to Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, the geothermal pools of Iron Mountain Hot Springs, and the downtown gift shop Curious Products. Crested Butte, on the range's southern side, is a base for CB Motorsports and other backcountry outfitters.
