About
This cluster straddles the Texas-Louisiana state line at the mouth of the Sabine River. Port Arthur and Beaumont, Texas sit within the Golden Triangle, home to the McFaddin-Ward House, a preserved early-1900s mansion in Beaumont. Sulphur, Louisiana, about 25 miles east in Calcasieu Parish, is part of the Lake Charles area and serves as a gateway to the Creole Nature Trail; it is also home to local shops such as Flock of Five Gift and Art Emporium and Almosta Ranch. The two halves of this cluster fall in different, non-overlapping tourism regions, so no single regional name covers both.
