Arlington is a two-story frame house built in the 1840s in the Greek Revival style, on about six landscaped acres near downtown Birmingham. It operates as a decorative arts museum, with 19th-century furniture, textiles, silver, and paintings. A restored garden room on the grounds hosts special events. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. Visitors sign in at the visitor's desk, including those who plan to photograph the grounds. The site also runs seasonal luncheons and other events.
