Bamboo Brook is a public garden in Morris County that preserves the home and grounds of Martha Brookes Hutcheson, one of America's early female landscape architects. Her design approach uses water features, changes in elevation, and a wide mix of native and exotic plants. The garden areas, including a circular pool, lawns, upper and lower water features, and a playhouse area, were restored to their appearance around 1945. Visitors can walk the gardens, picnic on the lawns, and take a seasonal cellphone tour. Pets are not allowed, and food is not sold on site. Some garden areas are not wheelchair accessible.
