About Willowwood Arboretum

Willowwood is a 131-acre arboretum run by the Morris County Park Commission. Brothers Henry and Robert Tubbs bought the old farm in 1908, named it for its willows and spent about 50 years collecting rare and exotic plants; the county took it over in 1980. Today there are more than 2,100 plant species, seven garden areas including Pan's Garden and the Rosarie around the Tubbs House, state champion trees and blazed meadow and woodland trails. Entry is normally free, and a cellphone tour runs April through November.
