Beavers Bend State Park
4350 S Hwy 259A · Broken Bow, OK
Why you should go…
Beavers Bend covers 3,482 acres of forested, mountainous country along Broken Bow Lake and the Mountain Fork River, north of Broken Bow. You can hike the David L. Boren Trail, fish trout streams that are stocked year-round, canoe or kayak the river, ride horses and play the 18-hole Cedar Creek Golf Course. The Forest Heritage Center holds 14 dioramas on the region's forest history. The park is named for John T. Beavers, a Choctaw settler who once owned part of the land.
