About County Farm Park

County Farm Park is a public park in eastern Ann Arbor, Michigan, owned by Washtenaw County and run by the county's Parks and Recreation Commission. Its landscape blends woodlands, meadows, and cultivated gardens, and it supports a broad range of plant and animal life. Visitors often come to garden, hike, jog, or ride bikes. The land has belonged to the county since the 1830s and once served as a county poorhouse and infirmary. Community gardens appeared in 1972, followed by trails and a perennial garden. Since 2000, ecological restoration work has removed invasive plants, restored prairie, and created a wet meadow along Malletts Creek.
