Kensington Metropark is a large public park in southeastern Michigan, run by the Huron-Clinton Metroparks system. Its hilly, wooded land wraps around Kent Lake, which draws anglers, paddlers, and boaters. Visitors can ride or walk the paved loop that circles the lake, follow shorter nature trails near the Nature Center, or spend time at the Maple Beach and Martindale Beach shorelines. The park also has a golf course, disc golf courses, a farm center with animals and hayrides, and a splash pad. In colder months, cross-country skiing and ice fishing are popular, and sledding hills are open when conditions allow.
