About Fallen Timbers Battlefield and Fort Miamis National Historic Site

This site commemorates the 1794 battle that helped settle control of the Old Northwest Territory. It spans three locations: the battlefield itself, a state monument about a quarter mile south with a bronze statue of General Wayne, and the remains of the British Fort Miamis several miles away. Metroparks Toledo manages the property in partnership with the Ohio Historical Society, and the area follows laws that apply to units of the national park system.
