About Gwynns Falls/Leakin Park

Gwynns Falls/Leakin Park covers 1,216 acres of wooded stream valley in west Baltimore, a park the Olmsted Brothers urged the city to protect in 1904. The Eagle Drive entrance leads to the stone Crimea mansion and Winans Chapel, a railroad-themed playground, tennis courts and the Carrie Murray Nature Center. The Gwynns Falls Trail runs 10.75 miles through the valley toward the Inner Harbor, with trailheads at the I-70 Park and Ride, Winans Meadow and Windsor Mill Road. Picnic areas are open daily until dark.
