About Lake Roland Park

Lake Roland is a park of more than 500 acres around a reservoir that Baltimore built in the late 1850s, just over the city line in Baltimore County. Trails cross woods, wetlands and the serpentine barrens of Bare Hills, a rare habitat for endangered plants. You can launch a canoe or kayak without a permit, use the nature center, picnic pavilions and playground, or bring a dog to the fenced Paw Point dog park. The Falls Road Light Rail stop is at the park.
