About LeFleur's Bluff State Park

LeFleur's Bluff State Park is a 305-acre green space on the Pearl River inside Jackson, named for Louis LeFleur, the French-Canadian trader whose late-1700s trading post grew into the capital city. The park has a 50-acre lake for fishing, a boat launch, nature trails, picnic pavilions, an 18-hole disc golf course and RV and tent campgrounds. The Mississippi Museum of Natural Science and the Mississippi Children's Museum are on the same grounds, so it is easy to pair a museum visit with a walk. Entry is $2 per person, and children 5 and under get in free.
